Media personality Bright Kankam Boadu has sparked a debate with his video paying tribute to highlife legend Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, which surfaced online.
In a video sighted by Ghbase News on TikTok, the award-winning journalist is seen reacting to the demise of Daddy Lumba as he expressed pain, saying Ghana had lost a great icon.
Bright Kankam Boadu suggested that in celebrating Daddy Lumba’s life and legacy, the birthday of Daddy Lumba should be made a national holiday.
He further urged Parliament to consider his suggestion, emphasizing that people like Daddy Lumba also deserve such honours.
He said, "In celebrating his life and legacy, the birthday of Daddy Lumba should be made a holiday."
