Xandy Kamel Arrests Fast TV CEO For Showing Her New Movie Days After Its Release Without Permission
Ghanaian actress Xandria Dede Kamel, also known as Xandy Kamel, has taken legal action against Accra-based station Fast TV over alleged copyright infringement.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Thursday, July 31, 2025, the actress announced that the CEO of Fast TV, Mr Obed Mawuli MiFutsu, has been arrested by some uniformed personnel from the Odorkor Police Station.
The arrest came after Xandy Kamel filed a formal complaint in partnership with the Ghana Copyright Office and with the support of filmmaker Mr Socrate Sarfo.
According to the press statement, the Ghana Police Service had kickstarted investigations into the alleged copyright infringement issue, and further details would be publicly communicated soon.
In the post caption, she wrote: "Update on Copyright Infringement. With the help of the Copyright Monitoring Team and the support of Mr. Socreate Sarfo, we’ve made some arrests in connection with the ongoing copyright infringement case."

Fast TV CEO, Mr Obed Mawuli MiFutsu, comes days after Xandy Kamel called out the TV station in a video that went viral.
