“I HAVE NO INTENTION OF LOSING WEIGHT”: SELINA BOATENG CLAIMS SHE DOESN'T GO TO THE GYM BECAUSE OF HER WEIGHT

Ghanaian gospel singer Selina Boateng has emphasized that she does not visit the gym for the sake of losing weight but rather to stay healthy and maintain her body.

She made this known while addressing body-shaming comments that have followed her for years, which she claimed to have grown immune to them and sometimes even laughs at the remarks.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz Praise Zone with Nii Noi, she said, “I have no intention of losing weight,” she stressed. “I just want to maintain my body and keep it in shape.”

According to the gospel singer, she is not moved by social media trolls because she believes God created her beautifully.

Selina Boateng noted that in the past, she responded to critics who ridiculed her size after videos of her struggling to get up during a praise ministry that went viral. At the time, she stated that she was not embarrassed because her focus was on God, not people’s opinions.
